Lore: The Tuma story universe is mainly situated in modern day Ghana. The fictitious home of Tuma Adusei – Eboba Kuro Ketewa – is located in the south west of the nation, in the Nzema territory, with the cloest major city being the Nzema coastal capital of Axim. Tuma belongs to the Nzema Akan people, the village speaks English and the Nzema variant of Ghanaian Twi with heavy a Jamaican patios presence.
The Nzema People lie close to border of Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire and occupy both sides of the border. I felt this region was the best place to choose for the story as it draws solidarity with the Ivorians. Ivorians are a first class citizens in the creation, story and content of Tuma Tunes, as well as in the future Tuma Tales.

The first area of the Kwae Kronkron, is the flower garden. The garden is loved and frequently visited by Asha, Okua, and Mawa; A girls favorite. The dye from the roselle fruit is extracted and used for painting village buildings and as a dye for the clothes worn by the villagers. The colour produced from the sorrel dye is the main color of show. The roselle fruit is used day to day for drinks and for Kwanzaa Celebrations using Jamaica’s classic ginger, pimento, sorrel mixture.
